FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Straight answers about access, backups, pricing, time zones, migrations, maintenance, emergencies and SEO.

Getting started

Mostly WordPress and WooCommerce, plus sites moving to WordPress from Shopify, Wix and Squarespace. For DNS, hosting, SSL, Search Console and speed work, the platform matters less; we’ll tell you upfront if something is outside what we do well.

Yes. Most of our work is on sites we didn’t build. We start with a review and a full backup, and flag anything risky before changing it.

Yes. We handle specific technical jobs (migrations, cleanups, performance, maintenance) alongside agencies and in-house teams. See ongoing website support.

It depends on the current workload and the job. Urgent requests for broken or hacked sites are read first. We’ll give you a realistic start date with the quote, not an optimistic one.

Access & security

No. Please create a separate account for us with the role the job needs. You can remove it when we’re done, and nothing ties our work to your personal login.

Many hosts let you add a collaborator or create an SFTP user. If yours doesn’t, we’ll suggest a secure method. Never send passwords by email or in a form.

We keep the backups taken during a job for an agreed period, stated in the scope, then delete them. You can ask for them to be deleted sooner.

Yes, on request.

Pricing & payment

Defined jobs get a fixed written quote. Open-ended investigations (an intermittent error, a hacked site) start with a diagnosis stage, then a quote for the fix. Maintenance and support are monthly.

Because two sites with the same problem can need very different amounts of work. A written scope after a quick look is fairer than a guess.

No. If we find work outside the agreed scope, we stop, explain it and quote it. Nothing extra is billed without your written approval.

Third-party costs (premium plugins, hosting, domains) are paid by you, usually directly to the vendor so the account stays in your name.

Timelines & time zones

Faisalabad, Pakistan (UTC+5). We work remotely with businesses in the UAE, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.

UAE clients share almost our whole working day: Gulf Standard Time is one hour behind us. Our day also overlaps UK mornings and early afternoons. For US and Canadian clients, planned changes can happen overnight your time, which is when they’re least disruptive.

Yes, scheduled at a time that suits you. Most day-to-day communication is by email so there’s a written record.

Migrations

There’s always some risk when URLs change. A full URL inventory, accurate 301 redirects and monitoring keep that risk as low as practical. We won’t promise zero movement.

No. Each platform exports different things. Some data moves, some has to be rebuilt, and some (such as customer passwords from Shopify) can’t move at all. Each migration page lists what to expect.

The old site stays live while the new one is built and tested. Cutover is planned so any interruption is as short as practical. For stores with live orders, we plan a brief order freeze.

Maintenance & support

Tested updates, off-site backups, uptime and security monitoring, and a monthly report. See website maintenance for detail.

Maintenance is the preventive routine. Support is developer time for changes, fixes and small features. Many clients have both.

Plan terms, including notice periods, are set out in writing before you start.

Malware & emergencies

Don’t delete or reinstall it. Take a copy as it is, change your hosting password from a clean device, and contact us. The first 30 minutes section explains why.

No one honestly can. We close the way in, harden the site and recommend monitoring, which reduces the risk significantly.

Once the site is clean we request a review in Search Console. Google processes reviews on its own timeline, which we can’t speed up.

SEO results

No. Anyone who guarantees rankings is guessing or using tactics that can backfire. We fix technical obstacles, improve pages and measure what changes.

Technical fixes can be picked up within days to weeks of Google recrawling. Ranking changes depend on competition and content, and are measured over months.

We make content clear, well-structured, accurate and easy to crawl, which is what search engines and AI-assisted tools need. There’s no special trick that guarantees AI citations.
